While features like MinIO bucket federation, revamped MinIO browser UX, Prometheus integration, etc are being actively worked upon and will be available soon.

But this doesn’t stop us from keeping out eyes, ears and hearts close to the MinIO community!

We have been following the Cloud Native landscape and the ongoing KubeCon looks like a huge success for Cloud-Native software community.

As 4100+ members attend the event (more than double!! the number of members since last year), it is clear that there is huge interest in Cloud Native software and it is the future of infra related software.

We’ve also been hearing great MinIO news from the ground at KubeCon, and we want to share it with our community. So, here is a quick round up of MinIO news from ongoing KubeCon/CloudNativeCon in Copenhagen.

SUSE announces MinIO is certified for SUSE CaaS Platform

SUSE CaaS Platform is an enterprise-class container management solution that enables IT and DevOps professionals to more easily deploy, manage and scale container-based applications and services.

SUSE Ready certification for SUSE CaaS Platform, an application-certification program for independent software vendors (ISVs). SUSE Ready is allows ISVs to test their applications with SUSE products to ensure interoperability.

MinIO is among the first few ISVs to have been certified for SUSE CaaS. Read the full press release here.

MinIO support on Rook framework for Cloud-Native storage orchestration

Rook started by orchestrating Ceph storage on Kubernetes cluster and identified the common patterns for bringing storage systems into cloud-native environments. The Rook framework has now been extended to support MinIO deployment as well.
